&lt;h2&gt;Why a research lab accepts crypto&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Three honest reasons.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;1. It matches what we say about sovereignty.&lt;/strong&gt; Our research principle is “your biology is yours.” A lab that believes people should control their own biological data should be comfortable letting them control their own money too. Cryptocurrency is self-custody: no intermediary decides whether a contribution is allowed.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;Two ages, one person&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Chronological age&lt;/strong&gt; is simple: it’s how long you’ve been alive. It ticks at exactly one year per year, for everyone.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Biological age&lt;/strong&gt; is the idea that bodies don’t all age at the same rate. &lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Not destiny.&lt;/strong&gt; Even genuine age acceleration is a &lt;em&gt;signal&lt;/em&gt;, not a verdict — and what any individual should do about it is a medical question, not a spreadsheet question.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;How to spot it — three questions that expose most of it:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What species?&lt;/strong&gt; A result in mice is real science and can be genuinely informative — but a mouse is not a person. If the study was in mice (or cells in a dish) and the marketing implies it applies to you, that’s the shuffle. Humans-first claims need human studies.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What’s the outcome?&lt;/strong&gt; Did the study measure something that matters — like a disease, a biomarker with known meaning, or a hard endpoint — or did it measure something the company chose because it looked good? &lt;em&gt;“Statistically significant change in a questionnaire score”&lt;/em&gt; is not the same as &lt;em&gt;“less disease.”&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Who paid for it, and how many people?&lt;/strong&gt; A small study funded by the seller is a hint, not a verdict — but combined with the above, it’s usually enough.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;And one bonus rule: &lt;strong&gt;if a single study is being cited, ask about the other ten.&lt;/strong&gt; Science is a body of work. Cherry-picking the one favorable study while ignoring the field’s broader (often mixed) evidence is the oldest trick there is.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;Trap #3: The gadget gospel&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The pattern:&lt;/strong&gt; Expensive devices — light panels, “recovery” wearables, electromagnetic doodads — sold with the energy of a religious conversion. The price tag does double duty as a proof of seriousness.&lt;/p&gt;
